You can’t watch any news without seeing or hearing a mention of “AI” – Artificial Intelligence. Obviously, this is a game-changing technology that will impact all of us. I know it will benefit some industries more than others but I’m not quite sure how it will affect Action. We are certainly evaluating how to use AI in the right way in our business. However, I’ll admit I’m old school and the term “Artificial” in AI doesn’t sit right with me.
At Action, we will adopt technologies that make us more efficient and provide our customers with a better experience. But, we live and operate in a real world. We will never get away from maintaining a personal touch. We will always do business using a common sense approach. We believe providing good service at a fair price is the key to success. Our people are at the core of providing good service to our customers. We have enough confidence in our capabilities and standards to be able to back what we sell. Our sales and customer support teams still pick up the phone when our customers call. Our receptionist, Miss Terry, still greets every customer that walks into our front door. She has been doing this for almost 25 years. Even as AI evolves, Action will remain a people business with our customers being our top priority.
We will also continue to support our local community. This month, members of our team participated in a 5K run supporting Maddie’s Footprints. This organization supports families coping with miscarriages, stillbirths, or the loss of an infant. We also had several employees participating in the local gumbo cookoff event this past weekend. I’m proud of our team for being actively involved in events like this.
We’re making it happen at Action and when our customers call, we always say “we can do that!.”
