This Saturday, July 4, 2026, is going to be a historic day. It is the official 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. On July 4, 1776, twelve delegates of the Second Continental Congress representing the Colonies signed the Declaration of Independence. Over the next few weeks, the remaining 44 delegates signed the document formally declaring independence from Great Britain. It was the beginning of what has become the greatest nation on Earth!
If you know me, you know I’m very patriotic. I’m loyal to this country and have adopted its foundational principles. I try to express my patriotism by respecting our national symbols like the American flag and the national anthem. I feel privileged to be able to support our veterans and service members who protect our nation. And I actively participate in democracy by exercising my right to vote and being involved in my local community. I’m also proud that we fly the American flag in front of our office and our team is always looking for ways to express additional forms of patriotism. Happy 4th to all of our employees and customers! I hope you enjoy this special holiday and all the freedoms that come with it.
This month, we supported The RescYou Group, a great local program that supports grieving families who have lost a child. We also contributed to the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation. This organization provides scholarships and educational assistance to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty. Again, Action is practicing what we preach by supporting our local communities and worthy veteran organizations.
We’re making it happen at Action and when our customers call, we always say “we can do that!.”
