At Action Specialties, we believe in giving back to the community that supports us. Uplifting those who need it the most has always been a mission near and dear to our hearts, which is why our team pulls together each month to support a wide range of different causes and non-profit organizations that make a positive difference in people’s lives—both locally and globally.
Our charitable activities span a range of causes, including youth sports and academics, health and wellness, community services, animal welfare, and more. Here’s a glimpse into the various ways we contribute to making a positive impact where we live and work.
Military and First Responders
As a Louisiana Veteran-Owned Business, we appreciate the sacrifices made by our military to protect our freedoms. We also strongly support all of the first responders who perform heroic actions every day. At Action, military and first responders are respected and supported.
Youth Development and Education
Empowering the next generation is a priority for us. We’ve had the pleasure of sponsoring various local school sports teams, youth camps and scholarship programs over the years like the Diontae Spencer Youth Football Camp, the Opelousas General Health System Foundation and the Boys & Girls Club of Acadiana.
Healthcare
We’re passionate about providing hope to those battling life-threatening illnesses, which is why we participate in fundraisers like St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Sky High for Kids and local Colon Cancer Awareness programs. We have also sponsored initiatives like Dreams Come True, benefiting children with serious illnesses and the Cajun Missionaries of Hope, who provide medical and dental services in Central America.
Community & Social Services
We are deeply involved in local community services, whether that be donating clothing and household goods to Acadiana Needs or helping to support causes that assist the homeless community like the Soloman House.
Animal Welfare
Our pack cares for our furry friends too! Our team takes great pride in organizing activities to raise awareness and support for local animal welfare like Acadiana Spay Neuter, which focuses on rescuing and protecting animals while helping to reduce overflow at our local humane societies.
Seasonal Giving
During the holiday season, we strive to increase our efforts to spread more joy to those who need it. Each year, we look forward to our annual participation in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Drive, collecting toys for children who might otherwise go without during the holiday season. Our team has also participated in delivering cards to residents at local assisted living facilities on Valentine’s Day. We love finding new ways to make others feel special!
