I would like to start this message off with a big “THANK YOU” to the nearly 16 million veterans who are still living and have served in one of the six branches of our military.  Happy Veteran’s Day!  Your sacrifices have preserved the many freedoms we have in the United States today.

Speaking of freedoms, another national election is in the books.  Our election process demonstrates the importance of preserving our democracy and our right to vote.   Participating in elections by exercising the right to vote is one of the key freedoms of American life.  Many people in countries around the world do not have the same freedom, nor did many Americans in centuries past.  No matter what you believe or whom you support, it is important to exercise your rights.  I’m proud to be an American and value the privilege I have to vote for my candidate of choice.

At work, I really believe in listening to everyone’s opinions and giving people an opportunity to voice concerns or make suggestions.  We try to engage our team to provide ideas that can make us a better company.  We encourage teamwork and open communication.  For me personally, I have learned that we can do great things when we share ideas and work together to make them a reality.

I also know that, like voting, we have a moral obligation to support our local community.  This past month, we made contributions to St Jude and some local high schools as well as participated in the Gumbo Cookoff which benefits the local chamber of commerce.  Supporting local charities just feels like the American way of doing things.

We’re making it happen at Action and when our customers call, we always say “we can do that!.”

Wishing all of our customers, suppliers, employees, and friends a Happy Thanksgiving!
