Letter from the CEO
Oct 17th, 2022

We are always looking for ways to do things faster, work more efficiently, and save time and money without sacrificing quality. This requires a comprehensive program focused on continuous improvement and employee engagement. Over the last year, we have really shifted gears in this direction, and it is starting to pay dividends.

We introduced Lean Manufacturing training to our team in Q2 and have conducted some Kaizen events. We have also invested in new equipment that has reduced setup time and increased output. All of this aligns with our strategy to enhance and expand our in-house production capabilities. We are proud of what we produce here in New Iberia. We want all of our customers to know they are always welcome to stop by for a visit any time. Most customers walk away with the same impression thinking, “I didn’t know you did all of this here!”

We know that we can always learn from others, and we have been fortunate to visit our key supplier facilities on a regular basis to compare best practices and broaden our network. In the near future, we will be conducting 5S training and campaigns to improve the overall organization of our shop.  At Action, we don’t believe that “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.”  We are always looking for a new trick to add to our toolbox.

We also like to dig into that toolbox to help others in our community. Over the past month we participated in the World Championship Gumbo Cookoff, an event that benefits the local Chamber of Commerce.  We also recognized five of our own cancer survivors and had a day where we promoted Breast Cancer Awareness by dressing in pink attire.

We’re making it happen at Action and when our customers call, we always say “we can do that!.”
