Letter from the CEO
Nov 18th, 2022

Thanksgiving is already here, and it sure feels like the year has gone by quicker than most.  That’s probably because we’ve been so busy this year here at Action.  I feel very blessed to have been able to experience a lot of changes and challenges this year and its rewarding to see how our business has evolved.  But, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I want to share my thoughts on the many things that I have to be thankful for in my life and our business.

First, I thank God for the many blessings he has given me during my life.  At the age of 72, I have seen and done a lot and I’m fortunate to still be going strong!  I’m thankful for my wife, Robin, who has been my biggest supporter through all the ups and downs.  I’m thankful for my three sons, their wonderful wives that I consider my daughters, and my 9 special grandchildren.  I have enjoyed seeing them grow up, attending their various school & sporting events, and just watching them blossom in their own unique ways.

I’m thankful for the team here at Action.  I’ve been fortunate to have surrounded myself with an extraordinary team.  Our employees are loyal, committed, determined, and caring.  We have around 70 team members here at Action and I’m proud to say that almost half of our employees have been with us for over 10 years.  That says volumes about the commitment they have made to our business.  We would not have been successful without their contributions and dedication.

I’m thankful for the many key suppliers that have provided us with work boots, uniforms, shirts, promotional items and all the stuff that we sell every day.  They have treated us as partners, worked with us during tough times, and found ways to keep our supply chain moving when others had stopped.

I’m thankful for our customers that have trusted us to help to promote and grow their businesses.  Many of them have become lifelong friends.  We worked hard to earn their trust and hope that we will continue to have the opportunity to serve them for many years to come.  Thank you!

Finally, I’m thankful that we live in a special part of the world.  Our local community and the Acadiana area are hard to describe.  But the people here care about each other and I’m thankful that the Action team has been able to participate and sponsor so many events to support our local community.  This past month we donated items for an event to benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital. We are also active in Texas and just participated in West Texas Oilman’s Bustin Clays for Kids charitable event.  We will continue to do this as long as we are in business.

We’re making it happen at Action and when our customers call, we always say “we can do that!.”

Wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving!
