Mother’s Day is this weekend so I’m going to start out with a big shout out to my wife, Robin.  Robin has been a wonderful mother to our three sons and an outstanding grandmother to our growing crew of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She has been my biggest fan and supporter, and I appreciate everything she has done over the years.  Happy Mother’s Day to Robin and to all the deserving mothers that make our lives a much better place.

I also want to take a moment to thank our dedicated team of employees.  Employee Appreciation Day and Administrative Professionals’ Day have been observed over the last couple of months.  I feel so fortunate to have a great team around me.  The Action workforce has grown to over eighty dedicated team members.  Over 40% of our team has been with us for over 10 years.  They all have different jobs, but they share a common mission – taking care of our customers.  Thank you to the Action team for delivering an outstanding customer experience every day!

Our commitment to our local community is stronger than ever.  In the past month, we’ve supported the Bayou Side Run which supports mental health, the Maraist Family Foundation which benefits the Love Our Schools program, and some local school fundraisers including UL Coach Desormeaux’s annual golf tournament.  Our team also collected and delivered clothing to a good cause and is in the midst of conducting a canned food drive for St. Francis Diner.  If you are interested in making a food donation, feel free to drop off your contributions at our office on Highway 90.  Giving is contagious – we welcome your support.

We’re making it happen at Action and when our customers call, we always say “we can do that!.”
