I grew up in Patterson, Louisiana.  I’ve been working for as long as I can remember.  I still enjoy coming in to work every day.  I like the challenge, the pace, and especially taking care of our customers.  I remember cutting yards when I was around 8 years old.  I mowed with a push mower and used a cane knife to cut the grass in the ditches.  At the time, the term “customer service” was not in my brain.  But, I always knew that by doing more than what my customers asked, they were happy with my work and kept giving me other odd jobs.

Today, I still believe in that philosophy, and it is engrained in our culture here at Action Specialties.  We try to give each and every customer more than they are expecting.  We strive to beat every due date, we offer ideas on popular products, we ensure that we would be proud to wear anything we produce.  We love making our customers happy.

We also love supporting our local community and this month was no exception.  We continue to do our part in helping local schools in a variety of ways.  We participated in a tournament benefiting Opelousas General Health System Foundation.  This organization provides scholarships to graduating high school students.  We also contributed to the Sky High for Kids Organization that supports children undergoing treatment for cancer and other serious illnesses.  And kudos to the Action employees that teamed up to make clothing and household goods donations to Acadiana Needs, an organization that provides services to address homelessness, hunger, and poverty.  We are very fortunate to have caring employees that are willing to help others.

We’re making it happen at Action and when our customers call, we always say “we can do that!”.
