Spring is here and we’re implementing some of our annual Spring activities at Action.  We are re-evaluating and increasing our inventory levels, working with our suppliers on improving deliveries and providing competitive pricing, putting new products on display in our company store, and launching new on-line stores for customers.  Many of the on-line stores we offer are typically aligned with our customers’ employee recognition programs.  Some of these are based on safety performance.  Others are based on operational KPIs.  And most of them have some type of connection to recognizing employees for their years of service at the company.  Employees are the heart and soul of every successful business and I’m proud of our team here at Action.

Over the last few years, I’ve noticed an increase in competition for good workers.  It seems like many companies in our area are struggling to find qualified workers to fill open positions.  And keeping good employees on your team is more important than ever.  Obviously, you have to offer competitive pay and benefits to attract and retain employees.  But today’s employees want more.  They want to work in an environment that creates a sense of belonging.  They want to work in a business that promotes open communication where employees feel they are heard and valued.  And they want to feel appreciated for the contributions they make to the success of an organization.  We have found that our most successful customers offer recognition programs that give employee reward options that they can select on an on-line store platform.  Let us know if you want to hear more about how we can help you to improve your work environment.

We also like to do our part to make our local community better.  This month, we are supporting the 24th annual “Bark in the Park” event in Lafayette.  The is a fun event that supports Acadiana Animal Aid, an organization focused on rescuing animals at risk.  We are also supporting some local school and museum events that make our small community a great place to live and work.

We’re making it happen at Action and when our customers call, we always say “we can do that!.”
