While the official first day of summer has not arrived yet, the heat and humidity are making it feel like we are in the midst of it. Despite the heat, summertime is a great time of year. Lots of people go on vacations, kids get a break from school, and we get to celebrate a special holiday on July 4. This year marks a milestone on the 4th as we celebrate our great nation’s 250th birthday. Our forefathers were visionaries creating a democracy that protects human rights, limits governmental powers, and provides a good system of checks and balances. No country in history has ever built a foundation that propelled them to become a global power in such a short period of time. I’m proud to be an American!
As we celebrate the 4th and people work and play in the hot weather, it’s important to remember to take precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses. Stay hydrated, avoid activities during peak heat periods, wear proper clothing, and be aware of warning signs. Our company helps many businesses to manage heat risks in the workplace. We have a complete list of products that complement safety protocols during periods of extreme heat.
This month, we supported Chez Hope, a summer camp for under-privileged children. We also contributed to a local 4-H event as well as some teacher appreciation activities. Teachers are so important to our future. They educate, inspire and mentor our children and deserve to be recognized for the impact they make well beyond the classroom. Action is proud to support things like this.
We’re making it happen at Action and when our customers call, we always say “we can do that!.”
