As summer comes to an end, I want to thank our team here at Action Specialties.  We have had a busy summer, and our team has responded like winners.  I’m proud of the products and services we provide and the team that makes all of this happen.  It’s not an easy task but our team always rises to the occasion.

This has me reflecting on the importance of teamwork in a business.  I expect a lot from our employees, and, in turn, we share our success with our team.  Our work is demanding with lots of rush orders. To offset this, we try to bring some fun into the workplace as well.  Our employees offer great suggestions on how we can make our workplace better.  We treat each other with respect and try to use a team-based approach to resolving problems and tackling issues.  We work with our team members when they go through personal challenges, and the rest of the team is always willing to pick up the slack when needed.  Our employees truly care about providing good customer service.  We love what we do and care about each other.  I always say you have to be an A team player to be on the Action team.  I’m proud of the team we’ve assembled and truly thank them for all that they do.

I’m also happy to report that our “Pack the Backpack” project was a huge success.  We collected over 500 items for these students.  We also teamed up with one of our key suppliers, S&S Activewear, who supplied several backpacks.  Another great example of what can happen when you team up to do good things.

We’re making it happen at Action and when our customers call, we always say “we can do that!.”
