Long-Term Client and Friend Gives Where They Live
Originally founded in 1954, Apache Corporation has grown from a small Minnesota upstart to a major world operation. Today, the reach of Apache Corporation spans across six nations on five continents, developing resources, creating jobs, and building relationships with the communities in which it operates. Stewardship and Sustainability have been of the utmost importance to Apache Corporation over the years. Today, Apache Corporation has added an additional focus to their total vision, community outreach.
Apache Outreach focuses on community initiatives. Just recently, they have enacted their 2011 “Give Where We Live” program. The program has taken applications from Lafayette, Louisiana area non-profit organizations, all of them nominating themselves (or being nominated by those who are passionate about the organization’s work and mission) for the possibility of receiving a $50,000 grant. Additional grants of $25,000, $10,000, and $5,000 will be awarded as well.
Having already completed the nomination process, voting has begun as of August, 8. The organization receiving the most votes will receive the top monetary grant. Runners up will be chosen accordingly.
Voting is open to all those who visit the Apache Outreach Facebook page which can be found at http://www.facebook.com/ApacheOutreach.
