Bowl for Kids 2011“Big Brothers Big Sisters of America began the Bowl For Kids’ Sake fundraiser in the early 1980′s, with several of the 500 nationwide agencies participating. Locally, our Big Brothers and Big Sisters agency launched its first event in 1985. We began with one bowling center, two bowling times and mostly our Big Brothers Big Sisters’ volunteers forming teams. Today, the event spans two months and includes bowling centers throughout our 17-county service area. Most of the participants form teams through their company or organization. And yes, we still have Big Brothers and Big Sisters, along with their Little Brothers and Little Sisters, who help us Bowl For Kids’ Sake.”
