Action’s Own Plays in 27th Annual ESCAPE Charity Golf Classic

Action Specialties’ Vice President Craig Landry was invited to take part in the event by loyal customer, Mr. Curtis Walley, owner of CW Technical Services. Rounding out their four-man team were Danny Jones, the Director of the Louisiana Open, and Don Bostic. The second team for CW Technical Services included their own Brian Wiley, and Marlin Lester, Derek Fontenot, Danny Duplantis of Nacher Corp.

This year’s event marked the 27th annual installment of the Champions for Children ESCAPE Golf Classic, sponsored by British Airways. Since the 2000, John D. Schiller, Jr., Chairman and CEO of Energy XXI has acted as the Tournament Chairman. In just these past few years, the annual event has raised a total of $2.5+ million, more than $375,000 being brought in from this year’s event alone.

The charity receiving the proceeds from the event, ESCAPE (learntoparent.org) provides parenting programs in order to help prevent abusive relationships and encourage the growth of healthy families throughout the Houston Metro Area.
