Action at Komen for the Cure Grantee Luncheon
Susan G. Komen for the Cure is one of the leaders in the global breast cancer movement. The Acadiana chapter of Komen for the Cure annually raises funds for a number of local organizations dedicated to fighting and ending breast cancer. In just one year, 2010-2011, The Acadiana Affiliate of Komen for the Cure raised over $400,000. As a sponsor of this year’s Komen Race for the Cure, Action Specialties was invited to attend the 2011Grantee Luncheon.
At the event, Komen for the Cure awarded $408,000 in funds to 9 deserving organizations, many of which Action Specialties has worked with and raised additional funds for in the past.
