Action Specialties at the 10th Annual Halliburton Chili Cookoff!
Action Specialties proudly sponsored and took part in the 2011 10th Anniversary Halliburton Chili Cookoff in Lafayette, Louisiana. The annual event is a fundraiser for the United Way of Acadiana. Every year, the cookoff draws dozens of companies, all aiming for titles in multiple categories including Best Tasting Traditional and Exotic Chili, Most Spirit, Best Costumes, and Best Skit!
This year’s theme for Action Specialties was Peace, Love, and Chili! The Action Specialties tent had a number of goodies for Cookoff attendees. Team Action members handed out free tie-dye koozies as free swag. In addition to the free can coolers, Action Specialties spooned up some of the most anticipated chili of the event, defending their 2010 Best-Tasting Title! Perhaps even MORE anticipated was Team Action’s annual staple, Halved Jalapenos stuffed with Cream Cheese, Wrapped in Bacon, and cooked on the grill.
In addition to great food and fellowship, the event was also host to a number of festively dressed individuals and extravagantly decorated displays. Our friends and long-time customers, Stone Energy, were awarded both the Best Costume and Best Skit titles!
