Action Sets Sail for Lake Arthur Regatta
Lake Arthur, Louisiana is a unique place to say the least. As with a large part of Louisiana, Lake Arthur received the brunt of Hurricane Rita, flooding extensively. Although this is the case, when your town is already comprised of more than 1/4 water (.6 out of 2.4 square miles), a little bit of water doesn’t scare you much. Lake Arthur has recovered from this natural disaster and is stronger than ever. A “rejuvenated” Lake Arthur has emerged as a result.
In an effort to promote Lake Arthur to the surrounding areas, the city as well as Jeff Davis Parish have teamed up to bring 3 festival experiences to the community, the Lake Arthur Regatta, Lake Arthur Freedom Fest, and Lake Arthur Sportsman’s Fest, the first of which takes place on May 28 and 29.
An event filled with music, food, and sailboat races, the Lake Arthur Regatta is the premier event of Lake Arthur’s spring season. Featuring Louisiana local musicians, the family event is as much a community event as it is cultural attraction.This year, Action Specialties, Action Specialties has been enlisted to print the official Lake Arthur Regatta merchandise. More than 1500 tee shirts will see the screen printers here at Action Specialties, along with a slew of can huggies, all of which will be available for purchase at the Regatta.
