For our first time, Action participated in the Annual Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce Gumbo Cookoff on Sunday, October 11th.

Jarett Landry was team captain for the Saturday event and smothered deer sausage served with rice. His team consisted of his wife Kallie, Jessica Landry, Justin Spell, Cathy Pourciau, Troy Boutte, and Jennifer Harrington. It was a good turnout and they enjoyed the day.

Michael Lipari took the lead on the Sunday event with his committee that consisted of Cathy Pourciau, Jennifer Harrington, Rodney Trahan, and Jarett Landry. Our theme this year was " Not your average Jeaux gumbo." A slogan which we printed, using our in-house screen-printing service, on green T-shirts and our in-house digital printing service provided our booth with an awesome banner. Rodney's chicken and sausage gumbo sold out before the event ended on Sunday. Many of our Action employees joined the group and visited with customers and friends throughout the day. It's great to see so many of our customers, friends, and families.

Our booth was # 75 on Iberia Street and we really enjoyed participating in this event. Entering a team gives a clear indication of how hard the Chamber of Commerce and many volunteers work to make this event so successful. What a wonderful way to experience the sites of beautiful downtown New Iberia.
